I have been collecting electronic-based music since 1993. The first CD I purchased was a rave compilation that had about 12 or 13 different artists on it, exposing me to different sounds created by different producers, different record labels, during different times. Over the years I have come across a multitude of these compilations, as well as individual artists or DJs with their own albums. The albums I sell on eBay are made up of CDs from my personal collection, beats from around the world.

Physical Media Matters

Just so you know, physical media matters a great deal at Optiv Audio! A CD isn’t just a housing for 0's and 1's, it’s a tangible piece of the scene, a record if you will...a record of recordings. The artwork, the liner notes, the sequencing, the mastering choices, all part of the experience the artists intended. Physical releases preserve the warmth and character of electronic music in a way streaming just can’t replicate. They don’t disappear from catalogs, get replaced by remasters, or vanish behind licensing walls. When you own a CD, you own the music permanently!
